Refuge Recovery is a program of recovery from all types of addiction and the suffering caused by addiction. It uses the Buddha’s core teachings, the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, as its main inspiration and guiding philosophy. Refuge Recovery takes a non-theistic approach to spiritual practice, asking people to believe in nothing beyond a process that includes meditation, wise actions and compassion, and to do the hard work of recovery. These meetings are based on the book, “Refuge Recovery: A Buddhist Path to Addiction Recovery,” and include readings from this and other books as well as meditation practice and group sharing, with an emphasis on providing a community of support for its members.
We meet Saturdays at 10:00 am, Sunday at 3:00 pm, Tuesday 8:00 pm and Wednesdays at 12:00 noon.
